Swingman Baseball, sponsored by Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr and Nike

Swingman Baseball, sponsored by Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr and Nike, is pleased to announce we are starting the first travel baseball organization exclusively sponsored by Swingman and Nike.  Former Major Leaguer, Orlando Hudson will be a spokesman for Swingman and Andy Hallett and Billy Sylvester are the owners of this Swingman organization and will be running the daily operations.

In our inaugural season, we will have teams from the ages of 12 through 17.  Our teams will consist of players from South Carolina as well as neighboring states.  Our mission is to provide a true baseball experience, coached by certified baseball people, where each player will have the opportunity to grow on and off the field.  We will work diligently to increase all our players’ baseball I.Q. and assist them during the recruiting process.

Our older age divisions will play as many games on college fields as the schedule allows and our younger age groups will play on the top high school fields around the state.  Each of our divisions will play in a National Champion caliber tournament and will play in 8 events during the summer and 5 events during the fall season.

Our organization offers availability to the National Strength Coach of the year for High School athletics, Micah Kurtz, as he will serve as our Director of Strength and Development.   He is available to create personal workouts for each player and one-on-one training sessions throughout the year.  We also give our players the opportunities to work with Former Major Leaguers, Orlando Hudson, Billy Sylvester and Tripp Cromer, as well as meet and greet with current Hall of Famer, Ken Griffey Jr.

Fans and players can follow the action, get tryout dates, get updated schedules, rosters and alerts from our website; www.swingman.net.  They can also download our Swingman app for free from the App store.  All games will be recorded live with Game Changer and alerts will be common place with your app.

For more information and tryout dates visit www.swingman.net or contact Andy Hallett at coach20@swingman.net or Billy Sylvester at coach34@swingman.net.

Ken Griffey Jr. National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Speech

Ken Griffey Jr. officially became the first Mariner ever inducted the National Baseball Hall of Fame. And in classic Griffey fashion, his performance came from the heart.

In front of an estimated crowd of about 50,000, Griffey stopped to collect himself multiple times during his speech as he thanked his family, former teammates and mentors as well as Mariners fans.

“Out of my 22 years, I learned that only one team will treat you the best, and that’s your first team,” he said. “I’m damn proud to be a Seattle Mariner.”
